Trick-or-treating might be difficult during the pandemic, with people being scared of contacting viruses. I did a lot of thinking about this and I have a plan. My plan includes two stages.

Stage 1

In the case that children knock on my door for a trick or a treat, I’m going to show them a trick instead, and I’ll be leaving my door open so they don’t need to knock and touch it with their hands. From dinner time to midnight I’ll be by my front door ready to show tricks. My trick is something I still need to work on, but this is my plan to follow the Halloween tradition during the COVID-19 pandemic while social distancing and wearing a mask.

Stage 2

If any of my family or friends decide to go trick-or-treating despite COVID-19, I’m going to give them a free hazmat suit to use as a Halloween costume. Using a hazmat suit as a Halloween costume means they can have a great costume and stay safe from the corona virus at the same time. I think this is a great idea for any kid who really wants to go trick-or-treating despite the pandemic. Also, young people who want to go partying could to the same thing, so long as they safely dispose of their hazmat suit Halloween costume after the night is over and sanitize all they candy they get, refusing to easy any candy that isn’t safely in its wrapper.
